Friends of Arches and Canyonlands Parks is an Utah-based nonprofit and an official philanthropic partner of the National Park Service. We’re not a national organization with a distant headquarters — we’re your neighbors in Utah, working alongside rangers and communities to keep Arches and Canyonlands extraordinary.
These parks don’t belong only to us — they belong to every generation that comes after. That’s why when trails erode, when young rangers can’t afford to stay in the communities they serve, when urgent needs go unmet, we show up and do the work.

The ranger who pointed you toward the best hike, who checked on you in 105° heat — many can’t afford housing in the communities they serve. We fund housing solutions so experienced rangers can stay and the parks stay safe.
Wildlife, Trails & Natural Health
Desert ecosystems look rugged but they’re remarkably fragile. We support habitat restoration, visitor education, and conservation projects that keep the desert floor, the bighorn sheep, and the night skies as wild as they’ve always been.
